Meeting<\/span> for Learning is a time that we set aside to prayerfully explore the experiences of spirit and the dimensions of the inward landscape.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first Sunday of the month is usually a meeting for healing for physical and spiritual wholeness.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The second Sunday of the month is usually a presentation of folk songs by a member who plays guitar.\u00a0 It sometimes includes singing along.<\/p>\n

On the remaining Sundays we usually consider a passage from the writings of Friends or from the Bible.<\/p>\n

Expectation is that our sessions will have many of the following characteristics:<\/span><\/p>\n

A: While our explorations will have a particular focus, the ‘space’ in which we explore will be open.
\nB: Our journey will be hospitable with places to rest for nourishment.
\nC: We will listen with an ear to what we bring as individuals and what we learn as a group.
\nD: We will honor both the ‘little stories’ of those involved but also the ‘big stories’\u00a0 of both faith and rooted practice.
\nE: Meeting for Learning will support solitude and sharing the many resources we bring as a faith community.\u00a0 An emphasis will be placed on personal and group reflection on life in the Spirit.
\nF: At various times we will be welcoming vocal participation and silent reflection.\u00a0 Music, drama, poetry, or film may play a part of our sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n
